People usually come to therapy with distress – depressed feelings, worry, anger, anxiety, relationship or parenting concerns, coping with a loss, or crisis. My approach is to get a full picture of who you are and the situation you face,  then collaboratively work with you on what change you are wanting to see. My approach is described as down to earth, warm and insightful. I am trained in several evidence based approaches, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness in particular. What you will notice more than the methods is that you are able to make the changes you want in your life, gain insight and peace of mind. I work with people from a wide variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds and ages, from young adults to people in their 90’s.

The relationship we form is a key part of what catalyzes change, so I will ask you to give me feedback. In our sessions we will select home practices for you to work with between sessions as this accelerates the pace of the work. If you have any questions about how I work, or what to expect, please contact me.
